They told me it was appointment based and so I made the appointment.
It was fully booked today except the 1pm slot.

I saw the voucher offer and phoned up to see if they had the magazine still in store! The lady laughed and said they were doing free eye test at the moment anyway so i booked and had the test yesterday, for free.

Must say though - the optomerist was a nice man and was helpful, but nothing was mentioned about my stigmatism which other opticians have made a big deal about????? Any comments?

Got my free prescription to bring away with me but unsure whether I should stop being tight and book in with a 'decent' opticians.

i asked last week and they told me it was free, so seems a bit mixed.

They sometimes do bonus clubcard points, with a free eyetest, so it could be worth waiting for those, as they will only test each named person once every 6 months or so. Guess some people use an adopted name to get around that.

£15?! What?

Its free. Every 2 years you are entitled to your eye test for free under the NHS. I go to Specsavers every 2 years. Its all free..
