Book your eyetest before 31st August and hand in voucher when you go for test.

I couldn't copy the above so I searched 'Free Eye Test Specsavers' and it took me to 'search stores'. When I got to the appointment bit of site for my local store, there was a Free Eye Test Voucher, expiry September 27th 2014. Simples! Voted hot, recently lost my glasses so will get a free test before buying new ones. Thanks for the heads up. Hot 8)

Is this valid for every store? I searched for my local specsavers and when I go on the book appointment page it only give me a voucher for a £7.50 eyetest :(
#5
Looks like it's store specific, at mine in Selby, North Yorkshire it's a £5 eye test
#6
Free in York, valid until 27th September

Maybe its not store specific?...here's the link: http://www.specsavers.co.uk/free-eye-test

Strange that there aren't really any T&C stated on that voucher.....when you look at their site in general the T&C seem quite detailed

Yeh, it's a pretty vague voucher however, I've used a similar one before. They scanned the barcode and told me it was fine so I'm sure they'll accept it.

Thanks OP! Voted hot :)

The store i usually use has a voucher for a £7.50 eye test, the second nearest has a free test voucher and the next has a free test with every pair of glasses bought, quite random ,

voted hot as savings to be made one way or another :)

This freebie should be hotter, as it's a nationwide voucher and NOT store specific like most Specsaver vouchers are.

Funnily enough, the postman just delivered a specsavers booklet with a free eye test voucher to my door. :-)

Nice bonus.

Useful info
You can get free eye tests from any optician, if you are over 40 and a member of your direct family has Glaucoma, it is covered by the NHS.
Am I entitled to a free NHS eye test?

I asked my optician about this as I get the free test.
It is vastly cheaper to pay for the eye test, where the results can be monitored and issues flagged.
Treatment, if required is normally just eye drops.
Without the regular checkups, by the time it is noticeable, treatment normally requires surgery.

When I click 'request appointment' at my local store, it justs ask me for my details, probably to send an email. No sign of any voucher...Am I doing something wrong???

instead of clicking on "request appointment" click on the store itself from the list of nearest stores, this will open a new window and if their is a voucher available for that store it will be just above the map,

OMG I just went for a eyetest and got charged £22. Could have saved £22. Damn.
