Great idea :)

Don't want to pee on your fireworks but some care homes don't allow flowers so would be worth checking before you tried to send some

You have to wonder what sort of care is being provided in a care home that won't allow flowers to be delivered for its residents. If I had a relative in a home like that I'd be seriously concerned about the welfare standards.

Might be worth seeing if there are any catches (ever skeptical  ), good if they are free and so long as your loved one is not pestered afterwards to place an order.

Came across someone who had recently paid for an order and she sounds like on unhappy customer:

Many clients have breathing conditions that can be exacerbated by such as lily pollen.
Many plants/flowers can be poisonous and in EMI homes you would be surprised if I told you what I have found clients eating in the past.

There are many "policies" that may surprise you in the care business but that is down to the care standards agencies as much as individual home policies.

So, sometimes, even with something as seemingly simple as this one has to be careful.

Is this only to the 6 nursing homes or to any nursing home?

reading reviews for these guys I'd be very careful, free or not. No personal experience of them but recent online reviews (less than a month) don't bode well. Some pretty important problems; multiple trading names, orders not turning up and rude customer services mean I'd stay away from this company. If you want your loved ones to have flowers then personally I'd use the local florist. At least if there's a problem you can sort it out face-to-face. More money yes but better than sending half-dead flowers with only a hope that they'll turn up.

Of course that's only from research I've done into online flower retailers so if you've had positive personal experience of this company or others then let us know!
