Doncaster Rovers Football Club are calling upon the South Yorkshire town to get behind their local team this Friday, by offering all Rovers fans FREE tickets for Doncaster Rovers' Good Friday clash against Crystal Palace.

The Championship encounter at Keepmoat Stadium is a huge game for both sides - but Doncaster Rovers Football Club wants all fans proud to wear the red and white hoops to pack out three sides of the Keepmoat and become the 12th man to help spur Doncaster Rovers on to Championship safety.

Whether you sit in the Polypipe Stand or the KAT Communications Stand, aged 10 or 110, man, woman or child - you will NOT have to pay for a match ticket for Friday's encounter against Palace.

With tickets being FREE to all supporters, availability on tickets for Friday's game will be limited and available on a first come-first served basis - and supporters MUST have a ticket in order to be admitted to the game.

Tickets will be restricted to TWO per-supporter, although tickets will be available for families, and fans are advised to collect tickets at the Keepmoat Stadium Ticket Office ahead of the game on Friday.

A good deal up to a point - the only way to guarantee tickets for the game is to collect in advance from the ground but the Keepmoat stadium is way out on the edge of town and the ticket office closes at 4.30. Thus, unless you live or work in Doncaster, you won't be able to take advantage of this deal.

This may of course be the point - they want local fans cheering them on, not neutrals who just fancy a free game. That said, with none of the other South Yorkshire clubs playing on friday, they've missed a chance to attract one or two floating fans of other clubs, who might come again if they enjoy the experience.

Sounds like there is plenty local interest itself and combined with the season ticket holders there could be quite a sellout game on hand and they will definitely form a 12th man against Crystal Palace!

Check out the grumpy season ticket holders though - they probably don't get that there won't be a club to support if they don't win this one - upto £3m loss...
