Free Gift Voucher at IKEA Warrington

Hi ... this is my first post, so I hope i have got it right!

IKEA Warrington are celebrating being open for 20 years, and are sending out free gift vouchers to anybody who emails them with their details. The voucher is worth anything between £1 and £100 (I guess most will be for £1 - but you never know!)

I emailed them, and my voucher turned up by registered post 2 days later! The voucher doesn't tell me how much it's for, which is a bit of a shame (I guess the idea is to lure you into store to find out!)

The blurb says that vouchers can only be spent at the Warrinton branch, but perhaps they could be redeemed at others? It's just a plain 'giftcard' voucher, so perhaps it will work at all branches.

do you have to send your address in the email?

hi Edi

Thanks for the friendly welcome.

The 'deal link' is to the relevant IKEA website - it has all of the details and the email address you need to write to. I don't think you'd be able to pick up the free gift voucher in store - but you could always be cheeky and ask :whistling:

Me neither, got the voucher but haven't been so don't know what its worth. Anyone know when/if it expires?

Hi Julia

I don't think that they do expire - mine looks just like the normal gift vouchers, and I seem to remember the letter didn't mention an expiry date, so I'm not going to rush down there to find out what they're worth (although the sale is on at the mo - so perhaps it IS a good time to go ....)

Thats what I thought, but didn't want to lose out (Even if it is only £1 :p every little helps!)

Well, my mum and I went yesterday ... my voucher was £5, my mum's was £10 - so a nice freebie ! Hope your vouchers were more than £1, everyone !

I used to work at IKEA, they have no way of checking where the voucher can be used so I would suggest that it can be used at any UK IKEA.

Also, they never expire (although with inflation they will be worth less every year but I'm sure we don't need an economics lecture lol)

PS IKEA sucks.

When I;ve sent an email to them about this offer I've got this reply:

We are unable to process orders for Gift Vouchers via e-mail.

I am pleased to advise that customers are now able to order Gift Vouchers over the telephone. Simply call 0845 355 4532, with your credit or debit card details. For security reasons we can only send Gift Vouchers to the cardholders billing address. IKEA and Royal Mail's Express 'Special Delivery' charges for this service are as follows;
£4.25 for orders upto £500.00
£4.60 for orders upto £1000.00
£5.60 for orders upto £2500.00

These charges ensure next working day delivery.

Other vouchers sent out by us are usually for IKEA Family card members. You can apply for this online or in store and information on the advantages of this card and vouchers will follow.

- I don't think I would go for it...:?
