Are the music you download from Google music DRM-free?
As in "Can I take this freebie, download as much music as possible for free, and then keep it without paying once the trial is over?"

I sincerely hope not, you leech.
I asked because "The music you download from Samsung Music is DRM-free, which means you will be able to play, store, and transfer these files even after that date." So if I choose to stay with Google music and continue paying their subscription, I want to know if the music are DRM-free.

Go back to your hole, hypocrite. You joined 3 years ago and have not even posted a single deal to share with anyone. If I google the word "leech" or "hypocrite", there should be a link to DeadMeatGF.

Possible only if you haven't had the 30 day trail already as it wants 9.99.
#2
Is this for uk customers? It looks like it might be for America as it says it will cost $9.99 after the 3 month trial. If this offer is avaliable in uk perhaps there is another notice with a link for uk users. Has anyone managed to get this to work?

I clicked on the link and it takes you to a sign up page where it says "Try it for FREE for 90 days. After the trial, keep listening for just £9.99 per month", so it looks like it is for UK users as well. Going to the Play Music signup page directly says the same thing, but only for 30 days.

I think it's more streaming like Spotify.

Sheesh does no one read the emails they send?

Here's the main blurb:

Samsung customers are eligible to try 3 Months Free of unlimited music from Google on us. Get unlimited access to over 25 million tracks across all of your devices. You can stream or download music for offline listening. You can even add your own music collection to the cloud for free, and access it across all of your Samsung devices.

If the company offer a product and the user wants to use it, then so be it whether its 1 track or 25,000,000.
That's modern consumerism, it isn't stealing or leaching.
Look at the wording, the company are encouraging the user to use it as they want without limits - go for it.

Not limited solely to Samsung customers. My friend has just used it (LG G2, never owned a Samsung phone). Another friend also used it (Nexus 5) :)

sounds like that's the standard Google Play Music link, need to use the Samsung link.

Do you automatically get charged after the three month period?

Yes, unless you cancel by the date stated.

Worked fine for me on my Nexus, so doesn't appear to be any kind of device check.

Not working for me only shows 30 days

Well, firstly I wasn't aware there was a requirement to, secondly, up until last month there was a problem with my account so I couldn't sign in or post so the three years is misleading, and finally I've shared a number of deals on my other account, and continue to do so.
It's hilarious how much research you're prepared to do for a retaliatory post but how little you were prepared to do to find the answer for yourself.

the music that you can download from Samsung is only the music that you have purchased, so it's not as nice as you thought. They have to do that because you have paid for it.

The music from Google is not drm free (yeah, we wish!!!). It's for streaming so if you want to have freebies, ensure you put reminder to cancel after 3 months

thanks. worked on my Asus tablet.

thanks. worked on my Asus tablet.

you are most welcome.

non Samsung devices are able to get this freebies because Samsung is unable to find out whether it is Samsung device or not (they seem to under estimate the creativity of hukd members on finding the flaw. kudos to the fella that post it on the earlier comments). so enjoy the freebies! It's free for all.
#22
Yeah i used the link on my pc and it shows 90 days.

Anyone know how easy it is to cancel?
#23
Nice one OP, I didn't know about this :)
#24
For some reason this only gave me 10 days (yes I clicked the Samsung link).

EDIT: Apparently I am already on a trial of Google Music despite having no knowledge of signing up... Good job I tried doing this or it would have renewed and charged me!

Thanks, OP!

Now can any of us remember to revisit this thread in 80 days and post a reminder to unsubscribe? 8)
#26
You should be able to cancel your renewal immediately and still keep the remaining time (at least that's how it normally works).
#27
wow... my first hot post, usually my posts went cold :). Thanks guys
#28
I am getting an error message:

Sorry, we were unable to process this request. Any charge will be automatically cancelled within 24 hours. Please try again after 24 hours.

Has anyone had the same issue?

Can anyone confirm this?

Also, how do you cancel?

Can't find answers to either question in the FAQs.

I'm already paying £9.99 a month for All Access, it's a shame only new customers can get this.

why don't you open new Google account? Do you know that Google play can handle more than 1 account and the new play music also support that? Have fun!
