Just went to the BBC Breathing places nest box challenge last weekend and brought home a nest box, so this will be a perfect read on how to attract the birds to it...

Many thanks!

I've gotten this one before.

Please be aware that this automatically signs you up to the C.J. mailing list and you will receive 3/4 catalogues a year.

To be fair, the catalogues are nice (reminds you of the seasons, and so on) and you don't feel pressured into buying anything. But just thought people should be made aware.

thanks. just what I need as I saw a bird today I have never seen before. A few blue feathers on it middle of its wings. Milky/peach brown colour all-over with thinnish black beak. About the size of a large thrush. Would it be a jaybird or something? Anyone have any ideas?

hi yes that would be called a bluejay or just jay, i think it belongs to the magpie family.

only really get to see the blue in its wings when it takes off, but its a nice bird and a bit unusual to see nowadays in gardens.
