Yeah used it a few times and it's a great piece of s/w
By the way, does anyone know a free decent video editor?
I want to cut sections out of avi files and save them again

Ideas anyone?

Cheers

Ok,

List of video editing software.

I use Ubuntu which ships with PiTiVi, I often use OpenShot for video editing (including chorma key/green screen stuff).

If you don't mind using a command line interface on windows the ffmpeg tool is very powerful and very quick. I've yet to try using VLMC from the people who make VLC, though I've heard positive things about it.

I used handbrake to digitise all DVD's to ipad and PS3 suitable formats. Not used it for a while, but will be sure to download and play with this latest version.

No problem, if you go down the ffmpeg route let me know if you need a hand.

Cheers
