Hastings Tourist Information Centre are giving away free Hastings Cards to clebrate the 950th celebration of the Batlle of Hastings. The Hastings CArd is like a TasteCard but for local independent businesses and gives you 100s of discounts East Sussex. Some great tourist atractions, shops & restaurant deals. Just be careful, as you make your way around Hastings, of all the idiots on bikes who don't understand what a pedestrianised area means, oh and on the pavements to.

I think you will find that the area you are referring to is actually a cycle lane one side and a path the other. Is more likely than pedestrians are in the wrong lane than cyclists but then out of towners are expected to not know this

I was thinking of the town centre when I said pedestrianised area, not the seafront, although that too is a badly signed mess.

Oh, and I also meant pavements, not the promenade.

Turns out the card is only a trial membership till the end of this December! :( Big let-down.
