Useful if you're on a water meter.
Saving water isn't only for times of drought; we cannot afford to waste this precious resource at any time. To help save water many companies in the UK offer free devices to be placed in your toilet cistern.
Need to choose your water supplier from list on landing page.

United Utilities think it's ok to leave 1000's of gallons of water leaking from a service valve for 6 weeks so i'll give it a miss.

If you want to kiss someone else including small people than that is upto you, typical Liverpool fan with your poor language and non political correctness!

When I was on a water meter in Germany I used something similar to cut down on water usage in the loo. A house brick in the cistern, it works just as well

You can do the same thing with a 2 litre bottle of water. Fill a 2L bottle with water, stick it in the cistern and hey presto, a 'save a flush' device. All done by using recycled materials too.

If its yellow, let it mellow.
If its brown, flush it down....

These things displace water in your cistern (tank) so that you use less each time you flush. It does save money if you're on a meter.........and are good for the environment too, if you care about such things......you could put a brick in there, but it would absorb the water and be useless, unless you wrap it in cling film.....there are other methods.

#25
nice one, thanks doc :)

Its a hippos! Great - better than the bag-of-God-knows-what that's currently sat in my upstairs toilet cistern, and the half brick that's sat in my downstairs toilet cistern, although who'll get to see the funky hippo?
