The alternative I use is Irfanview, which is also freeware and the perfect image viewer for my needs.
I don't like this "Like". It seems everything has to go through Facebook. Is this so they can access even more of your personal data?
I use Quick JPEG Image Resize & Crop
and PIXresizer for batch resizing

Freeware always filled my needs
Can you do batch resizing of images with this tool? I currently use the slightly geekish Mihov Image Resizer.
