Free International calls using 0161 number.

Make free International calls using your inclusive minutes. you dial a standard 0161 landline access number.
Scroll through the destination list to see the Free destinations, or alternatively enter your destination number in the box on the left of the page to see how much it will cost.
Many destinations are available for free and some are available cheaply via 0843/0844/0872 numbers.
There is no limit on call duration on the free calls unlike the 7 minute cap on the service which was posted yesterday.

I have been using this service for a couple of years and it has been great.

Hope this helps you all.

Dial the 0161 access number, at the prompt dial your destination number followed by the hash key. your call will connect.

Thanks op, just tried it and it worked a treat!, no more trying to find a wifi spot and calling USA from skype while out and about to avoid heavy call costs.

THANKS

You're welcome nwressell.

If I used a 0872 access number then Will I be charged by virgin media as well as this company?

You will only be charged by your telecom provider (virgin media), not by the company providing this service.
#8
virgin media charge about 30p per minute I think and the company providing this service charges 8p per minute to Oman so that's 38p.
anyway it's a good deal for calling some countries for free

If you have T mobile contract excluding full monty, then ALL 0800/0843/0844/0871/0872 numbers are inclusive in your allowance.
#10
Is it possible to use weq4u or something else to dial the 084/087 number to start with?
#11
The 0161 itself consumes the minute allowance, no?
#12
its showing 1p for india.i have t mobile contract if i call from that will it charge me?
#13
is this the common 0161 311 3111 number? the charge to call Turkey mobile at 3p is really cheap.
#14
im assuming no extra charges from voda, virgin mobile or 02 (just inclusive) to this number
0161 311 3111
as its a manchester number?

The 0161 number is free for all networks if you have free minutes in your allowance.
@callmecrazy: you cannot use weq4u to dial the 08 number.
@dealfella: Yes.Each minute you call the 0161 number, a minute will be deducted from your allowance.
@sach1636: if you dial the 08 number which is advertised at 1p to call india from your T mobile contract, then this should be inclusive from your allowance. It's not inclusive from the full monty tariff. My advise is to make a one minute call and make sure you're not charged.
This 0161 number is a standard manchester landline number, so it should be inclusive from all allowances.
#16
Thank you so much for sharing. You are brilliant !!
#17
2p/min :(
#18
084 number not included in the free allowance minutes for 3 network....
suspended#19
Is this the same costs on payg on t mobile or just contracts only??
#20

You're welcome mate. I know the feeling, when I first discovered the service too. Feels amazing when it's free all day to USA.

If you have any inclusive landline minutes, then it will be free for you. Otherwise you will be charged at your providers standard rate to call a landline number.

At the prompt dial your destination number, not the 08 access number.
Using the 0161 access number you can call France landlines not mobiles.
To call mobiles you would need to dial the 0843 access number directly from your provider (Bt/Virgin), but this is chargeable.

So, dialing this 0843 number may incur extra charges? The per minute charge + the 0843 charge?
From a BT landline?

Sorry, I'm a little confused.
Say I wanted to phone Spain using the code 0843 0420050...Would I be charged the 1 pence/minute the website states or the rate BT charge for 0843 numbers.
Thanks

You would be charged what BT charges to call this number.
BT charges between 1p-5ppm for 0843 numbers, depending on the full number.

You should make a 1 minute call from BT to the 0843 number to make sure what they charge.

Just checked the cost of calling this number on BT website. it states it costs 1.02ppm.

Look up the 08 number range and see what it's charge rate is ( in this 0843042 range it's g8)

http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumer/assets/downloads/BT_PhoneTariff_SpecialNos.pdf
Now check and see what they charge for the number range per minute. (in this 0843042 it's 1.02ppm)

Hope this helps.
