There was an article in todays Sun on page 23 how this app helps save so much a year! I can guess this will catch on and also they should work since the stores have signed up to advertise with Voucher Cloud

Also note its only available for the iPhone at the moment but you can check if your phone will eventually receive it here >http://www.vouchercloud.com/download

Also check out the BBC News Report on Voucher Cloud here >http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8481096.stm

Nice app bit confused as in the app they offer a subscription service as well i wonder if it will go subscription in the end.
Voted hot

this is free to install but you have to pay a subscription fee on a monthly basis as a result i have to rate this a cold deal personally thanks for the post regardless
#8
does anybody know how much subscription is?

Ok from the T&C's
Charges for Using the vouchercloud application

vouchercloud currently provides the vouchercloud application to you free of charge. However, when you use the vouchercloud application, you may be subject to charges imposed by your wireless or other applicable carrier. Payment of such charges is solely your responsibility. The vouchercloud application may not be accessible in some foreign countries, this will depend on the vouchercloud application being supported by the foreign network. You should check with the local carrier whether you will be required to pay additional charges for such access. The ability to download or access the vouchercloud application may be restricted or impaired when on a roaming network abroad

Charges for subscriptions in the app say
1 month £5.99
6 months £24.99
12 months £44.99
when clicking on them it says
for payment of xxx you can enjoy unlimited usage of everything vouchercloud has to offer for xxx months

So i guess it may be free for the moment and then later on they may charge.
I would not pay that amount of money for the service thats for sure

looks like you have to pay for a subscription,
Voted cold on that score but rep added
Thanks

Hmmm weird, I have played about with the app and you can get a few vouchers already, I never seen the subscription part. Shame thats a bummer like! I'll stick with HUKD
#12
They'd have to be pretty impressive discounts on things I'm interested in for me to even consider paying £5.99 a month. Somehow it all seems very unlikely. Not voted.

bargain hunters should avoid this. If it proves people will pay/subscribe for vouchers then it won't be long before websites supplying them all for FREE will follow a similar business model.

Businesses create vouchers as it is cheaper than advertising. Don't pay for their marketing!
#14
It seems heavily bar & restaurant based - it might be more useful to HUKDers if it had more High Street store vouchers?
#15
The vouchers either have a 'use' or 'subscription' button. If it says 'use' then the voucher is free if it says 'subscribe' then you need to pay for the voucher. The prices have been posted a few times so I wont repeat the excercise.

If you download the app, goto the settings page there is a 'i' symbol on the top right hand corner of the screen, this has documentation and a help guide which should give you more information.

Unfortunately the website is unclear, dare I say cloudy :) as to how everything works and this is a shame as it will put many people off even trying the app. This is not a cold deal its a warm to toasty one, just make sure you actually read how to use it before locking it away in a dark cupboard as a rip off.

I had an email from Voucher Cloud saying they have abolished the subscription charges! The app has been updated and no more options to subscribe! So this is completely FREE!! FREE APP, FREE VOUCHERS!!!! How can this not be hot? hehe.

Not sure which email you been reading as the email I received clearly states that they still have subscriptions for "premium offers":

We have also secured a small number of exclusive 'Premium Offers' which offer a significant saving. There is a small one off payment to use a 'Premium Offer'. Frequent users can choose a subscription that unlocks ALL Premium Offers. The choice to subscribe to use a Premium Offer is entirely voluntary. These exclusive offers take time, effort and money to negotiate and we therefore ask you to 'share' with us a small part of your savings.

They haven't abolished the subscription at all although they have added quite a few new free vouchers.

Yeah its still FREE as this 'Premium Offer' is voluntary and is a one off fee! So this App is still FREE to download and use!

My location: Perth, Scotland (pop c43,000, 2001)
Location radius: 10 miles

Vouchers:

Restaurants: 0
Casual Dining: 0
Food to Go: 1 (Coffee Republic)
Pubs and Bars: 0

I've never lived in a place with so many restaurants, wine bars, pubs and fast food outlets, none of them appear on this.

Totally useless is my personal opinion, hope others do better.

wow, this app's pretty awesome. Just used it for the first time the other day and saved over a tenner on a pizza hut trip.
