I did it on my phone using chrome but it was not easy due to compatibility view. I got around it by tilting the phone.

You're welcome

Hot if it works.

Great deal. I think Kaspersky are one of the best. Would get this if I didn't already get three free licences via my old Barclay's online bank account (about all they are good for).
#6
Well played. Heated (even though I've not tried it yet. Trigger happy thumb).

Microsoft essential free

I registered two days ago and received my key today by email.
This promotion is for android only.
#9
I had this but it chewed my battery and altered my proxy settings...All that stopped when uninstalled. Went back to AVG. Good luck though...

Thks OP

By the way for any Barclay's customers you can get this for free on PC and Android devices.
Avast and 360 are apparently fairly good and are free

Not bad for free, but Anti Virus on a smartphone is absolutely pointless and pretty much a waste of time. All you will succeed in doing is slowing your smartphone down.

I'm an android developer, and trust me, it's not worth the bother.

Microsoft Essential is for a Windows PC. It's also crap.

Like baz says. Antivirus software on Android is completely useless, and will only succeed in making your system slower and more unstable.

That's a fair enough response, but that is why I posted an article from Google's chief of security who says the exact same thing. Codify has also posted a few links to back up the statement. It's a personal choice, but for me, I don't see the point.

I'm sorry, I was being picky. HUKD is full of 'experts' when it comes to anti virus of any kind. But, I was being unnecessarily pedantic and I apologise. For the record, I agree with you completely. All this will do is slow down your device, and when people like Samsung fill phones with bloatware that you can't easily remove, another resource hog is the last thing you need.

Thank you

I have signed up for my free code - does anyone know if this will work with the download from the Play Store?

Would appear the software is not compatible with my Dev?!?!?! Nexus 5 with Android 5 Lollypop.

I will keep the code and when Kaspersky update it to work with 5.0 I will download it.

Thanks and still a great find!

Haha no need to apologise, I know exactly what you mean. These "experts" make it hard to filter the good advice from the bad at times!

Aye, I know exactly what you mean.

If it had a firewall it might have been good for rooted users?? (I'm guessing) but it doesn't mention having one on the play store.
