1) Go To http://us.mcafee.com/root/campaign.asp?cid=53347
2) Enter coupon code VSPPROMOCF
3) Hit Checkout.
4) Enjoy Your Free McAfee VirusScan Plus 2009

The Offer is valid utill December 31, 2008 ** Offer now extended **

Essential to use Richyrichuk's link above, as he says (http://us.mcafee.com/root/campaign.asp?cid=53347) - not 'go to deal'. Those getting 'Promotional code is not supported on this site' will find this solves it.

Hope you can afford a new PC to run it on then as soon as you install it your current PC will be about as quick as a ZX81.

Yeah, it's installed on our work computers and you can tell when it's running behind the scenes because the machines become unusable.

Nice deal - thanks, and have signed up for a free one in case I ever need it. Not sure whether I'll ever use it, though, because I still prefer the free AVG.
#26
Great thanks

it seems to use more resource than avg and comodo, will give it a week and then decide if to go back to the free options as they have always done me well. Still a good freebie.

worked a treat, heat & rep added thanx!

Just downloaded , it updated my old McAfee great find cheers

If you're the kind of person who wants to slow your PC down with bloatware, this is a great deal.

If you want decent performance from a machine which you have probably spent hundreds of pounds on, steer well clear of McAfee and Norton products.

They're like herpes for PCs - once they're on your system, you'll never get rid of them.

Some good old-fashioned against the rules heavy petting in a swimming pool cleared up my herpes.

heat added...excellent...cheers

thanks
happy Christmas and happy New Year

AVG Free 8.0 would be just as good as this, and wouldn't hammer your system's performance as much! Check out how many services McAfee installs on your machine!

Cold because there's better all year round free products available that won't beg you to upgrade every 5 minutes.

mcafee = a virus

Thanks for this. To all those complaining.....Go *e*k off! On installation choose custom install if needbe and limit the bloatware. For a freebie this is good. And don't compare this to Norton....that is an old sinking boat! :viking:

Good deal! Better than Grisoft AVG free version?
