What is a LIME energy saving plug?

The LIME energy saving plug will automatically cut off the electricity to all your connected equipment. The plug can be used with an individual piece of equipment such as a TV or with a number of pieces connected via a multi socket unit.

The plug is controlled by your existing TV remote control (or any Infra-red (IR) remote control). You can select the desired button you wish to use on your remote control and the plug will learn and remember it. This would usually be the on/off button, so that the plug operates when you turn off the TV.

The plug uses an IR receiver which must be placed in the line of sight of the remote control you are using. There is an adhesive patch on the bottom of the IR receiver to secure it, if required, in the correct position.

Simply press the synchronised button on the remote control and the plug will turn off all power to connected equipment. To restore power to the connected appliances press the synchronised button on the remote control.

Switching off your electrical items just got easier with the LIME energy saving plug. This intelligent plug provides total shutdown in one easy click through your TV remote control. Leaving items on standby wastes energy and money, so start thinking 'savings' not 'standby'; with your free LIME energy saving plug.

#17
Why they giving away free to people who are on benifits and non tax paying. These people have better cars than us working class
#18
And 50" teles ,Sky, etc

not all people on state benefits are a waste of space and never worked in their lives.
you will have single mums or dads whos relationship has broken down and need the support of the state until they get back on their feet.
i worked from when i was 13 until i was 22 when my marriage broke down, i was then on income support for a few years. it didnt stop me from going to college and gaining some more qualifications (17 in total). i then choose to go back to work while still being a single mum. please dont tar us all with the same brush.
#20
I fancy all the moaners would apply, if and when they hit 70.

You're right, Prufrock, in fact it was over a month ago! So I am a bit peeved that, although I originally posted it, I haven't got mine yet!

But to be honest, I posted it as much because using that code it would benefit Arthritis Care. I've seen GREEN used as a code but couldn't find out who the beneficiary might be.

I'm curious, who benefits if one uses the MYSTERY code?

No point trying to explain - they just see a random story in the Daily Mail where someone abuses the benefit system and assume everyone on benefits must therefore be well off.

Not to mention those who aren't at that stage yet - don't think my 6 year old has to pay tax yet, and he doesn't work. But he's the one in the household who would make us eligible.
