EDF and Tesco are giving free cavity wall & loft insulation to ALL with suitable homes (not just its customers).

And now those who get pension credit, or get child tax credit AND earn under £16,000 can get it and £100 cash from E.on too

seems a good price to me!

Cavity Wall
Its NOT Suitable for all home...... Not for Flats Apartments or Maisonettes
Some modern buildings have still got small a cavity even after a foil backed board is put into cavity when built which is classed as cavity wall insulation, you cannot add to this either.

it says "to all with suitable homes"
i cant have cavity wall insulation either, as it is too narrow. however i have a loft.

And so it should to be honest. I got it discounted years ago in my old house. It made a huge difference.
My new place is around 5 years old and has amazing insulation. The heating never seems to be on.

i have someone coming to assess my loft next tuesday and it does say free for everyone on their website,
"The free insulation offer is subject to a suitability assessment and limited funding."
nick7nick7#12
suitability is if theres a loft hatch and that sort of thing. i grilled the guy when he came to do mine.
i receive nobenefits of any kind. they came and did mine for free, didnt even cost me a cup of tea

heard 1 person got damp walls after installing this so my advice, if its not broken dont fix it ;)

Edit i think this only happens when a certain type of cavity wall insulation is used Rockwool and possibly others, so check up.
