MacHeist is offering Snow Leopard users a chance to grab a free copy of Squeeze, a smart compression application.

MacHeist sent out the following email today: "We're now in the middle of preparing our absolutely insane nanoBundle for sale. Unfortunately a crate containing tons of copies of LateNiteSoft's new smart compression app, Squeeze, fell off the back of our truck."

"The good news? The Squeeze licenses are totally fine and they're all yours. Head over to MacHeist, grab your free copy, and save some hard drive space. The perfect way to prepare for the incoming nanoBundle and don't forget to mark March 2nd on your calendars!"

Squeeze is a background file compressor, which uses the new HFS-compression in Apple's Snow Leopard to transparently compress the folders you configure to process. Mac OS will read those files normally, they will just take less disk space.

Squeeze normally costs $9.95, which is a special introductory price.
