Been using this for ages, good but only as part of your security set up.SUPERAntiSpyware is another free application that finds tracking cookies/trojens etc that many other programmes miss.
#4
A bit heavy on the system and does report a lot back to Microsoft, but it's ok for free

It don't update if you connect through a Proxy server :-(
#8
Nothing but problems with this! slowed firefox down, also froze firefox. Took it off and hey presto firefox running normal :(
#9
High-quality? It is fairly average really but better than most. Avira and Avast are still the best free AV's out there.

It can be done, I know I set it up for somebody on XP, I think you have to use the command proxycfg, although I can't remember for sure - try googling if you still want to try it. I think it may be different for Vista or Windows7 though.

I install and update it on customers laptops without a problem and I have to connect through at least 3 proxy servers just to get onto the Internet.

Will this clash with AVG? Do I have to choose one or the other, or can I run both?

You need to get rid of that chocolate fireguard and get a better piece of software. I suggest MSE (this thread) or Avira for AV software and then you can us IOBit for the maintenence.

MSE subscribes you to "SpyNet". You can remove this with a little registry tweaking:

YMMV.
