Thanks going to send off for this, dont have migraines often (About 2 a year) but when I do, they are REALLY bad. Had one when I was in hospital and they were checking me for meningitis because I didnt like lights and stuff, they didnt believe it was just a migraine.

Thanks. Having had sinisitus, headaches and migraines all my life, I kinda know pretty much everything about it. My mum used to get them pretty bad too but it stopped for her at around 18. Well, 21 and still got em... It's a b*tch too cos it usually happens on the worst possible days (parties, exams, booze nights)

Tried naramig (migraine specific medication) - Doesnt work
Tried ibuprofen - Doesnt work
Tried kapake (apparently the strongest paracetamol that can be prescribed) - Doesnt work

So when I get a headache or a migraine im bound to my bed for that whole day - lights off, complete quietness, blinds shut.

Thankfully doesnt happen regularly enough to be too worried... maybe 1 or 2 headaches a month and 1 or 2 bad migraines.

Thanks for this. I get migraines every few months. The pain of them is indescribable. 'Can't have lights on, people whispering sounds like screaming, crying in pain, please somebody just cut my head off' type of pain, takes a day or so to get over it too. Hopefully I'll find something useful.

thanks for this, and yes i am a migraine sufferer roughly 6 to 8 ayear, and vomit continusely for 6 hours then in bed the rest of day then really weak for a day or two then on a high, strange what it must do to the brain, but bro, mum also have them and now my 9 year old daughter has been diagnosed with abdominal migraine strange i know but that is just one name its called, only different is she has severve pains in tummy then violently sick for anything between 4hours and 48 hours, not good as she has had 4 attacks since xmas on medication now so time will tell, but children normaly can get it if migraines are in the family, and something she will have to live with then proballly go into headach migraines, but hoping she will grow out of it or medication will help. :)

I get the same as you describe, I had a really bad attack on friday.

In the U S A they call them suicide headaches,
I can understand why.

I get one every few months, about a week before I get my period usually. The worst part of it all for me is the Aura that sees me in bed for a day and then that feeling of total...drainedness for a day or 2 afterwards!

Thank you for the web site and link.

I suffer from migraines frequently, well at least i did before i was prescribed a daily preventitive tablet and an "emergency" hit the migraine on the head tablet for when i get one sneak through.

Never had any issues with vision, just nausea and sickness.

Any information on Migraines is much appreciated!

Same happened to me, i had a really severe migraine and sickness so they tested me for meningitIs. Prrreeettty relieved when i found out it wasn't.

I get migraines alot of the time, most of time i feel nauseous too. I find a good long sleep usually makes me feel better, maybe with a co codamol or two.

Thanks for the info on this, will be ordering one!

I really hope some of you find this usefull. Personally I get them around once a month but sometimes for days on end. All I can do is lie in a dark room and try and sleep it off - dosing up on stronger ibrobufen.
