Great deal, Audi ran this promotion back in January and I took advantage of it then fully thinking there must be a catch. Quite the contrary the service at my local Audi dealer was excellent, with no hidden costs or anything untoward. Good spot - Heat & Rep added

I'll be giving this one a wide berth methinks. The Audi garage near us are only interested in taking you for as much money as they possibly can and i have proof of that from experience !!
DO NOT TRUST them ..... please note the re-test fees are chargeable and they will want you to book your car in for lots of different jobs that they happen to notice whilst doing the mot test. they'll probably tell you these jobs are critically important too !
If you know of any other garage, take your car there instead , at least you have a chance of getting an honest mechanic.

Seriously , AVOID at all costs , this FREE mot is simply a con , very few people would get away with anything from an audi garage for free.

Its a great offer yes.

However as mentioned above i would not and do not trust any dealers. Bought a audi once from a trader. No reciepts so i called last owner up from a number he left in the service book. He was a vicor and told me the audi garage told him the car was dangerous to drive and that the gearbox was falling out. They made him buy a new car from them and part ex the audi in.

I would not trust them and no doubt they would fail it and say it needs this and that. I wouldnt say every single dealers in the country is corrupt but the majority definatly.

Also ive been to audi dealership twice and have had nothing but good advice and very reliable/trusthworthy help. they even decoded my stereo for FREE yep FREE when i was expecting to pay upto £20. My local audi dealer is fine.

The dealer we use up in Belfast do try to screw every penny then can out of you. We had our A6 serviced (it had it's first MOT last week) and they said it had things wrong with it like worn-out C-links and stuff, took it to get MOT'd and it passed with flying colours

Surely the only people who would buy an Audi are those who really wanted a BMW but couldn't afford one ...

Thank you so much for the post, I took advantage of the free MOT in March which my trusty A4
passed with flying colours - the Audi Dealer in colchester were so helpful even tho' I was not a paying customer -
they even lent me an umbrella and drove me into town whilst my car was being attended to.
I have booked for next years free MOT as it is certainly not a 'rip off' offer, just Audi keeping their customers happy!! PS do BMW etc give any free MOT's!!!
I am now dreaming of owning a white A5!!!!:stocking: hint hint santa:santa:

i want an R8 too.... got a fiesta... could it be worse??

There are some bad Audi dealers but there are some good ones too. This can be said of main dealers in general. The problem is working out which are good and which are not.

Here’s a tip, if they don't have at least one qualified mechanic that you can speak to in their service reception, then you have your first clue.

thanks

Audi's are junk, my A3 tdi has broken an engine mount off the engine block, apparantly a common fault. I wonder will audi fix that for me? No chance!
#29
Oh dear, took the rs4 in for the free mot, it came back with a scratch that wasn't there when handed in looks like a tool was dropped on it, was livid, but funnily enough the "salesman" said that it was noted down when the car had been checked by.....him, not in my presence by coincidence. My car is immaculate and only just over three years old, felt quite helpless as I know I should have been there when they checked the car, as it will come down to my word against his. Have not had this trouble with all Audi dealerships, just this particular one in the NW!! Beware!!
