I stumbled across this website - a whole pile of free downloads in their "song of the day" section from the usual unknown Indie / Alternative artists (Well some might be really well-known but I hadn't heard of them ;-))

Loads of other downloads throughout the site - they're mostly good quality 192kb/s or more and download nice and fast.

Apologies if this site has been posted before - I couldn't find in a search...

Why so cold folks?

I only downloaded a couple of dozen tracks and will be keeping 5 or 6 on my mp3 player.

Did no one else like any of that music?
Or is there somthing dodgy about the website?

P.S. All the tracks I downloaded were totally virus free (scanned by sophos and a.n.other av)

 to me almost all the downloads posted here are from 'unknown' bands ;-)

I'm not too fussed at what I listen to - I guess there's just so much legitimate free music around folks aren't willing to try new stuff unless they've been told it's good.

Who wouldn't want to listen to that famous Swedish group 'This is Head'? :whistling:
This Is Head wear their influences very much on their collective sleeve. Obviously inspired heavily by the production stylings of one of Sweden’s most respected artists Dan Lissvik ... the band mesh together the spiralling kraut workouts of duo Fontän with the progressive space-rock of London based A Mountain Of One. Throwing in fellow Gothenburg sonic explorers Ikons and Franke into the mix – This Is Head manage to churn out a sound that is exceedingly fresh and frightfully exhilarating.

Actually it's not as bad as it sounds (at least until they start singing 7 minutes in...) :p
