Recommend you go to an opticians. Most offer a free hearing check with state of the art equipment lol

how loud should i turn the volume up on my speakers?

Useful.

They told me I might have below normal hearing.

Not surprising given 8 months to go to my free bus pass!!

If anyone has to ask how load to turn up the loadspeakers, then I suggest they have no need to do the test, you already know you should have a full test!

I am profoundly deaf. I already knew that anyway though ;)

Thanks to some prescribed drugs interacting with each other I have no hearing.

There is also a cool iPhone app that has a hearing test.

Within the normal range... I was hoping for super-human hearing or something :-(

This is great, thank you for posting :)

Great, thanks!!!

Strangely enough the test suggests that my hearing is within the normal range even though i am at least half deaf in my left ear, i guess my right ear made up for it!!

That's why the ones done in proper booths are good because they measure each ear individually. But for a quick free internet test this was very good.

You should be able to get a fairly good test of both ears by using in-ear earphones and just putting them in one ear at a time (and doing the test twice)

I'm going to get my OTH to try this as he has been working in a factory with extremely loud machinery for far too long and I'm sure its affected him badly
