You have to top up £10 to get the £5 free I think.

Many thanks for that - I bought a new unlocked mobile and still wanted to keep the old mobile and this has just done the trick:thumbsup:

Yes you have to top up with £10 or more, but still a good deal

It's not really a freebie then is it it's more of a deal if you're on about the £5.

You could put free sim in the title, that would make it accurate.

i work for orange payg helpdesk and we are never told on any promotions like these. blv me u will be topping up £10 and wait for the £5 to go through, when eventually it won't you will have to call us and then we will try to fog you by saying can take upto 14 days and wait more, u will wait and call after 14 days and then will be asked many questions as to where did u get the sim card, what it said on the offer (coz we were obviously not told of this offer) and that there is no such deal and to fax the document where u saw it and blah blah...(yes thats what we are paid for).
honestly i will hot vote for the original user but seriously do not bother

and by the way i ordered 2 payg phones from our website, i was charged, order cancelled and refunded for the phones but never got a refund for the £20 u ve to do. have been chasing for about a month now. i am a bit ashamed to be working for orange at the moment to be honest, ....but thats life!! :x

Sorry - your post was not there when I wrote mine.

Could you tell me something about orange?

Do orange train you that if a customer does not take out orange care or whatever its called - do they tell you to always say any fault is the manufacturers problem?

Just too many orange CS said "whose name is on the phone - that's who you need to speak to" - so much so i started replying "orange - and a little orange square".

umm,
you are talking about the paymonthly side of the business i guess, majority of the payg phones are bought from shop or 3rd party dealers anyway so the retailer is responsible for warranty. if i do come across a customer who bought a payg phone from orange direct (website or telesales) and if it is faulty and within one year, i do replace them without any hitch.
officialy orange says that they are responsible for the first 6 months and remainder warranty with the manufacturer.
u ask me i think retailer should take one year responsibility at least, when they have the money to sponsor the Sony Ericsson Music Band something, the BAFTAs and the London Olympics, they surely can take more care of their customers!!!
but thats personal opinion i guess:thinking:
