Thanks for info

The difference is that you don't get the £3 credit on it. So it's not really a £3 saving. In fact you don't save nothing.
Still handy to have though.

Exactly. But since you're more likely to lose the card then give it back when you're done with it it's works out to be a fee in practice.

But great offer. My mum needs one and I'm sure she would rather save the £3.

it has always been for oyster prepay cards, that you don't need to pay the £3 deposit if you have the card registered, like you do here. so actually, it's nothing new. however, it's a good reminder for people not yet used to oyster.

I live in Scotland.. so erm.. i dunno. Might be handy if i somehow find myself in London from a Stag-do or something. I ordered it anyway!

Its a pay-as-you-go card for traveling in London. If you get it from the ticket office (e.g. London Underground) without registration, you need to pay $3 deposit. Now you don't have to pay the deposit. That's pretty good. Useful when you need a backup card in case you lost the old one.

Edit: I actually mean pounds :)

Pay £4.00 cash for your Tube journey, Pay by Oyster card for the same Tube journey and it’s only £1.50

But do remember if you’re involved in any criminal activity the police have access to the Oyster database so they know where you have been
