It appears on the Cheshire Council homepage too: http://www.cheshire.gov.uk/
Unusually it is free car parking AND free admission to all the attractions. Usually it's one or the other as car parking and park adminstration is by Cheshire County Council and the Estate is managed by National Trust.
The park is signposted from J19 M6 and J8 M56. Nearest railway station: Knutsford 0.25 miles from park entrance, 2 miles from Estate.
On Saturday 28 March Tatton Park, one of the most beautiful National Trust estates in the north west, is holding a free Open Day to acknowledge 120 years of Cheshire County Council. The usual admission and parking charges will be waived and the public is invited to enjoy a family fun day out in a very special place.
Each year around 750,000 people enjoy its gardens and parkland, the Mansion and the farm as well as year-round special events. Visitors can walk for miles around the park, have hands-on encounters with rare-breed animals, buy Tatton?own venison and other quality produce in the Housekeeper?Store (where you will need to get your wallet out!) and - of course - be stunned by the gardens that just keep getting more seductive year after year. The Royal Horticultural Society obviously thinks so too, because Tatton has been one of their enormously popular Flower Show venues for the last ten years, attracting an extra 94,000 garden enthusiasts in 2008!
