Free wall charger to charge your Motorola Moto G (any generation). Fill in the online form at the link above, adding your IMEI to the form. This can be found on the box, or by dialling *#06# (star, hash, zero, six, hash) into the phone. I will add the order links below.

Good luck to all, and a Merry Christmas to you.

When I purchased the moto get there was no plug and only usb cable maybe because of this?

I can't see any mention about a free wall charger from the links - did you just contact them saying you were dissapointed that the phone didn't come with one (my sons 2nd Gen certainly didn't)? Any more info would be most helpful. Many thanks.

Take the freebie, just in case Motorola realises it should not be giving these away for free.

That was pretty much it, Rich_The_Fish. It was just a case of saying that the phone didn't have a plug, and please could I have one? Apparently, they say that plugs are not provided due to environmental reasons, but they are happy to supply them on request.

Can't see the output, as the writing and background are both grey. As it's a freebie, it's got to be worth having anyway, surely?

I don't want to waste their time and money if I'll need something else anyway. But yes, it will probably do for now.

How did you phrase your question? Was the question asked at Amazon, or Motorola, as Motorola are supplying the chargers, not Amazon.

That's how mine was done, my partner did it on my behalf. He said that the phone arrived without a charger, they explained the reasons they don't supply them as standard (not good for the environment or something), then he asked if they could send him one. It arrived next day by post, at no cost - not even postage charges. Try doing it via email and see if you get any better luck.

It looks like it says 6v output, if that helps.

I got the same response from them. "They don't provide wall charger for free"
#15
They must have changed their system then. Have you tried the email route? I got mine via the email, and no other method was tried.

This is the response I got...

Dear Ben,

Thank you for contacting Motorola.

Your phone does not come with a complete charger but rather a USB cable that can be used to charge the device from a laptop or computer.

Motorola together with most large electronic corporations have agreed to the EU regulations stipulating that there should be standardized charging capabilities. Most people have a microUSB charger from previous devices that usually ends up just getting thrown away. We wish to minimize this waste.

We recommend use of the USB charging cable included with your phone or a Motorola-branded wall charger for the best charging experience. 3rd party chargers which are CE compliant & support the USB Battery Charging 1.2 specification, as established by the USB Implementers Forum, Inc. (www.usb.org), may also be used without impacting your mobile device's warranty. For an optimal charging experience, use of a wall charger providing between 500mA and 1.5A of current is recommended. If your wall charger provides more than 1.5A of current, Moto G will limit its maximum charging rate to 1.5A.

For any further assistance or information please do not hesitate to contact us, quoting your Customer Reference number. We are reachable on 0870 901 0555 to discuss the matter further with one of our experienced customer service agents. Please contact us anytime between the hours of 8:30am and 6pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 8am to 2pm.

Kind regards,

Motorola Mobility UK Ltd.

fingers crossed, we have one each = 3 and without a plug its a pain

My partner got a similar message, but they added that they would offer him a charger as a goodwill gesture. He put in a complaint about the lack of a charger in the box, and the complaint spurred them into action. You may have to step up your request to a complaint to get them to act.

This was a further response...

Dear Ben,

Unfortunately the link on hotukdeals.com is a scam. We do not send out free chargers and we are looking into having the link taken down as it is misleading a lot of people.

We apologise for the situation.

Kind regards,

Motorola Mobility UK Ltd.

It's my link, and it's definitely not a scam. I'll take it down though, to save anyone else the hassle of trying to get one. Sorry folks, but it looks as though Vodafone have taken U turn on this.

That looks really nice. Any idea if it'll be suitable for a Raspberry Pi? I'm looking to get one for a bunch of phones and tablets and then have another just to run one or two Pis off it...

I wasn't so lucky. I emailed them to request a wall charger, as my phone came without one and they said in their reply that they don't supply a wall charger. :-(

unfortunately I don't know mate, but as a charges for multiple items at once it is extremely handy and I find it quick to charge. leave them plugged in 24/7 and it would be a pain without them now.
