Follow up to nightwatch.....

Synopsis: Day Watch revolves around the conflict and balance maintained between the forces of light and darkness -- the result of a medieval truce between the opposing sides. Each side has gained a powerful Great Other, who are headed for a clash, and Anton Gorodetsky is once again caught up in the midst of this conflict. On one side is Anton's son, Egor, who has joined the ranks of the Dark Others, while Anton's love interest Svetlana is the hope of the Light. But that's just the beginning of his troubles: Anton is on the run after having been accused of murder. Things are getting worse, and only the ancient Chalk of Fate can save the day. The problem is the magical Chalk was lost hundreds of years ago...

Out of interest, would anyone who knows anything about this release say that you'd need to see Nightwatch before watching this follow-up?

It continues from Nightwatch so would probably need to watch Nightwatch to really know whats going on.Nightwatch effects are awesome and should be
seen anyway.

This has been out for well over a year now and I'm 99% sure it's Russian.

It's a great film like the first :):)
#26

For people looking for the 1st film in the trilogy here are some versions of NIGHTWATCH.....

£11.99 = 2 disc set from cdwow Reg 3 = http://www7.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2.php?product_code=276018&subcat=region3

£6.99 = 1 disc set from play Reg 2 = http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/1027684/Night-Watch/Product.html

Theres quite a few versions of the film, with different extras this is from dvdcompare.net........ http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=7984

OVERALL: Draw

The UK and US -releases has both international cut in two versions (includes "Theatrical version" with special burnt-in English subtitles). The UK -release however, has lots of additional extra features over the US -release. The R2 German, R3 HK and India -releases has the same extras as the UK release, apart from the second version of the film with special subtitles.

GENERAL NOTES:
- The subtitles on the 2nd disc of the UK release are specially created to fit the scene. For example, if a character walks away, the subtitles fade away with them.
- Click the IMDb link for the differences between the 2 versions of the film.

OTHER RELEASES:
There is also a two disc release in France but we were unable to find full reliable specs. If you own this disc or have a link to a review, then please let us know via the forums.
