About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
Apparently Sony are running an exchange program for faulty PSP and PS3s. Even if it's out of warranty [Edit: May not work if they ask and you remember buying it more than a year ago....], as long as the warranty sticker is intact (you haven't opened the case to fiddle with the insides) and you've got the battery and charger then they'll send out a refurbished one via parcelforce and pick up your dud one to take back. This is all free of charge (less the phone call). It's said this even covers broken screens.
I noticed this while surfing eBay and noticed lots of people selling this info for anywhere between a couple of quid and twenty. After digging around a bit I found this handy info from a concerned eBay member..... reviews.ebay.co.uk/PSP…687
Sony's number for this is 08705 998877, or try the cheaper geographic number 01923 653598.

Oh I've been kicked off better sites than this you can be sure.....
It's a shame this info is still being sold on eBay. Tsk.
It is not funny
It is not smart either
It is not fair on other people Who do have a genuine problem.
Shame you on you is all i can say.
Also because you say you made up a serial number, That person who has that serial number will probably be unable to get their product fixed because you lied.
Unless the service has changed since 1996:whistling:
Maybe you could flash it with an official upgrade 2.80 or something :whistling:
The way I read it is that the selling of the information is a rip-off, he is saying its information that shouldn't be sold and that people should ring sony themselves on the number.
Did you not care to read the post? He says the scam is ebay letting people sell info, when all it takes is a phone call to sony!
Hot info, thanks
Besides, they offer a paid subscription service called "Continuous Play", which is exactly what you are describing but not free. It doesn't add up. continuousplay.co.uk/
didnt have proof of purchase of warrenty
I cant find my receipt, although I am sure its still less than 12 months old. They asked for serial and model numbers. I told them I had lost receipt and he just asked which month i had bought it in.
He's right, I've just rung up.
Basically have they been out for under a year?
If so, might try and pick up a faulty one on ebay and get a replacement.
Just make up a date.
Yes , they do. They will give you a psp, battery and charger and want the same in return.
Just the psp and battery
