This summer, BP is offering free outdoor screenings of three Royal Ballet and Royal Opera performances. The shows will be beamed live to big screens in over 20 cities.


Just turn up at time listed, with a picnic and blanket (no glass or portable furniture).

ROMEO AND JULIET 1 JUNE AT 3PM
Live to Trafalgar Square; Canada Square Park, Canary Wharf; Christchurch Park, Ipswich; Victoria Square, Birmingham; Centenary Square Terrace, Bradford; Market Place, Derby; Queen Victoria Square, Hull; Millennium Square, Leeds; Exchange Square, Manchester; All Saints Square, Rotherham; and Wharf Green, Swindon.

THE ROYAL OPERA
DON CARLO 3 JULY 6PM
Live to Trafalgar Square, Canada Square Park, Canary Wharf; and Clayton Square, Liverpool.

Sounds so lovely and I got a gorgeous little picnic basket last year that I'm yet to use, but they're nowhere near me :(

Gutted, nothing near me. This sort of thing is normally way outside my budget. Good find though, heat added.

Sorry but I have to disagree!! If the weather is as nice as it normally is at that time of year, its an excellent excuse for a family picnic, and a cultural experience too :-D

Looks great, thanks. Should get to all of them, free trip out with a picnic and a bit of culture for the children, will make a change from football! Heat and rep added :thumbsup:
