  there are so many humans dying of hunger, I am amazed, people are reluctant to pay a couple of pennies to charities but happy to pay hundreds pounds of dog and cat food every week.

  @Dania1 Because we own and grow attachments to our animals and have a legal responsibility to keep them alive and healthy.

  I think you underestimate the power of keeping animals, they are good for the whole family they help with stress and teaches children responsibility!

  Dania1, the money you give to charity rarely goes to the cause it alleges to help. If I want a dog it's my choice.

  Oh and dog food for my 2 yorkshire terriers costs me around £12 per month. Hardly breaking the bank for all the pleasure I get having two dogs that are utterly devoted to me and my partner and who bring us so much joy.

  totally... I have had a few free samples, and whenever I have gotten my sample, just gone midnight, it has then said after that there are no more available for the day.
