Please dont put negative cos you dont like museli!!! grrrrrr

Tiniee weenie questionnaire to fill out which is easy peeesy. They are giving away 100,000 samples.

Our new Fruity Fibre muesli should soon be appearing on a shelf near you. Light, crispy, toasted rye & wheatflakes are blended with raw, wholegrain British oats & barley for a balanced fibre-rich cereal base. Chunks of juicy apple & apricot, dates & Flame raisins add a mellow sweetness while Brazil nuts, pumpkin seeds and coconut finish things off with a rich crunch.

Just fill in your details and answer a few questions below and we'll send you a free sample to try it for yourself. We hope you like it as much as we do!

Enjoy the free stuff while it lasts, with this new packaging that they've brought out they've doubled the price of their Natural muesli. The original stuff sold in a 1Kg bag for £1.79 at Sainsbury's and has been that price for ages. The new stuff is in a fancy box that contains 850g and is £2.99.

We complained to Jordans who blamed the supermarkets for the pricing, but said they have added extra nuts and fruit. They also laughably said the reason for the reduction in the size was because they couldn't design a 1Kg box that would fit on the shelves!

I nearly choked on my nuts...

EDIT: Thanks for posting the offer by the way(!) *nearly* forgot my manners... ;-)

Hi snj, kno how you feel, we practically live off a sauce called passata which is only crushed tomatoes for all our pasta dishes, its gone up from 29p to 54p in the space of 6 months, its gone up that much that you can just buy a ready made pasta sauce instead!!! (which I am now thinking of doing cos its turning out cheaper than making your own). We only buy one type of fruit now instead of 2 or 3 and as for meat, well we only eat it twice a week now, the credit crunch has turned us semi-vegetarian (which is prob not a bad thing). God only knows where the local takeaways are getting their meat from to keep their prices the same!!!! (Don't think about it) ewwwwwwww.

Im really peed off with the food prices going so high, the farmers and suppliers aren't getting much more for their food, its the supermarkets taking advantage of both supplier and consumer!!!! So you are right about enjoying the freebies while you can!! Although without the supermarket mark up they wont cost as much as you think to produce!! Im sure there wont be many freebies about as the money gets tighter for these companies.

Worth noting that Jordans seem to be doing a lot on promoting their new packaging. They were giving away free samples for fun from a stall at Brent Cross Shopping Centre this weekend, each sample had a 50p off voucher as well. Handy, considering a pack costs around £4 in most supermarkets!

It's lovely though, and better for you than Alpen (which is just basically sugar with a bit of fruit and nut chucked in).

Also worth noting - flame raisins are LUSH.
