Previously posted by Chaz_UK, says expired but still works fine as just unlocked my wifes San Fran

Enter your IMEI, select ZTE, leave next box on the default ZTE BLUEBELT and enter the displayed code. Then instantly above next to your IMEI code will be your free unlock code
More info here too..... http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blade-blade-modaco-com/322848/free-sim-unlock-codes-for-orange-san-francisco-and-zte-blade/

It's a ZTE not an HTC but I can't edit the title of the post

The phone is made by ZTE not HTC.

If you update the ROM it unlocks anyway. Plus the code calculator software created originally is available for free on the Modaco Blade forum.

Worked - Thanks To The OP!

Works fine - except that disclosing your IMEI like this to a third party puts you at risk of cloning fraud.

The code calculator on Modaco runs as an app on the phone, so unlike this, you don't need to disclose your IMEI.

Sorry to be so an*l, but is there any other way to generate an unlocking code? Running an unknown app may be even worse than handing over an IMEI. :|

Just a heads-up, Tesco are now doing the SanFran instore for £93 if you spend over £30 (includes the £10 top-up).
Not as cheap as some online stores but handy for next month - assuming the offer is still there- when the vouchers are released :)

For those worried/paranoid about IMEI cloning/world domination then download the ZTE Blade/OSF unlocker here and run it on your PC.
http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blade-blade-modaco-com/327319/bladeunlock-sim-network-unlock-nck-code-generator/
but you need to sign up and log in to download it I think.

I used the Nextgen server to unlock my OSF and other than having £1000 phone bills a month ever since, I've had no problems.

:D
