Synopsis:

From comic genius Armando Iannucci, and starring Tom Hollander, James Gandolfini, Peter Capaldi and Steve Coogan, comes a hilarious satire about British-US relations and the lunacy of war.

Both the US President and UK Prime Minister want war but the generals, diplomats and floundering British Minister Simon Foster do not. When Foster unintentionally announces on national TV that war is unforeseeable, the British government is sent into a spiral of chaos made worse by the crafty Director of Communications, Malcolm Tucker.

In a failed attempt to undo the damage, Foster tells the British public to prepare to climb the mountain of conflict, and as a result, soon finds himself in Washington, where he becomes a pawn for the secret war committee and a poster-boy for the anti-war campaign.
