'Let the Right One In' was its name. I watched it too. Wouldn't ever have thought it would be remade for English, it wasn't anything special.

Are you kidding? It was a completely different take on the vampire genre. It took the view away from these pathetic love sick movies that have ruined the moster movies. This one goes back to basics and is focus' more on the suffering and the pain involved, and also looks at the innocence and trust that children have. Also beautifully shot.... wasn't anything special... pfft

Judging by the trailer, it is going to be a disappointment given how amazing the original one was.

Just got back from seeing this. Having been a die-hard fan of the original, I was skeptical.

Despite being a remake, it is still far worth a watch. It holds up well on it's own and excels in certain areas that LTROI did not.

Aw no Manchester showing....

Personally I haven't read the book or viewed the 1st movie but I do watch allot of movies and for me this is right up their with my favorites. Its very well shot and very beautiful played out. This really does feel like a modern vampire movie and a relief after watching Twilight (shudders).

Couldn't agree more. The original swedish one (Let the right one in) was unsophisticated yet very artistic, thrilling, well directed and of course awesome acting from the child actors. If you see half of those in the remake, you'd love it.
