Crime and corruption run rife, gambling and alcohol are a way of life, and the line between politician and gangster, is blurred by the lure of cash and power. Welcome to Atlantic City, "The World's Playground": 1920.

Set amongst the glamour and buzz of the roaring 20s, in a place where rules don't apply, Boardwalk Empire whisks the viewer back into a land of corruption, crime and political skullduggery at the dawn of Prohibition. The stunning drama from Oscar® winning director Martin Scorsese and The Sopranos' Emmy® Award winning writer Terence Winter features an all-star cast including Steve Buscemi , Michael Pitt and Kelly Macdonald. Combined with exceptional costume and set design, this Golden Globe multi-nominated series, is coming to Sky1 this February 2011, but Sky People will have the unique opportunity to experience the opening two episodes at private preview screenings across the UK on January 10th, 11th and 13th, 2011.
