  I know I say this every time I see one of these posts, but please do not use the shower parts on electric showers, you will break the shower. These items are to restrict the flow from a mixer tap feeding off your mains hot and cold water supply only.
  
  Restricting the flow on an electric shower will possibly cost you a lot of money when you need to buy a new shower unit.

  VERY good point - I received a similar sort of device free from my local water authority and it has a warning inside to say that it should not be used on an electric shower.

  Got the hippo thing before and despite being correctly fitted to of our toilets the cistern leaked a month later. Prob coincidence but it had been fine for 5+ years. Chrome shower head sucks and just leaks.

  I a showerhead via Severn Trent Water and it's fab!! Love it. Never thought I'd like it better than my previous one. Our previous showerhead which we bought with our new shower unit you can adjust the type of spray and its volume etc. Although you can't adjust the force/type of spray on the free showerhead its volume and delivery of water is very good. Worth ordering it to see for yourself. You won't lose anything as it's free and no postage and packaging costs. Nice to be able to order a useful item after years of paying those water rates! Can always revert back to your previous one if it's not to your liking. Heat!! 8)
