Got mine the other day from the previous posting.

Does anyone know what the charges for 0845 / 0870 numbers on this network are?

I'm on O2 contract but I regularly order these free sims that come with credit on and stick them in a spare unlocked phone simply to call all the 0845 / 0870 numbers that aren't listed on the Saynoto0870 site.

Except for the free credit, the tariff isn't that great. ASDA mobile (vodafone network) is 8p calls (landline & mobiles) 4p texts.

Just need a SIM card to check my phone. So sweet! Thanks!

100+% more expensive than ASDA mobile so it's cold for tariff and hot for free credit (assuming your phone is unlocked).

They don't disclose whose network, if any, they use... instead you get this dodgy bit of text:

"If you are not sure whether your phone is unlocked, borrow a SIM from a friend who is on a different mobile network, insert it into your phone, and see if it works. If it works, that means your phone is unlocked and will be fine to use a Truphone Local Anywhere SIM."

Think that's just for the paid for SIMs here: https://localanywhere.truphone.com/buy/

I think they use the T-Mobile network. I could be wrong but when I put my SIM in my phone it briefly flashed up as T-Mobile before changing to Truphone.

I didn't realise Asda was so cheap. If I was actually looking for a cheap PAYG SIM, I'd go for that but I just picked this up to put in a spare phone for emergencies

I like ASDA 'cos it's 8p per min to landlines and mobiles.

Didnt arrive when ordered last time.....waste of time for me!

Have a look at www.giffgaff.com - same prices as ASDA mobile (8p voice,4p text) - but also include free calls and texts to other giffgaff users (as long as you top up 10 quid every 3 months). They run on the O2 network.

I got mine the other day took me 2 mins to reg on there site and the free credit was on within mins, they allow you to pick your own number from there numbers database and if you want a gold number you can pay a one of fess £19.99 but they do have some good numbers that are free. I think they used the vodafone network as that what it say under truphone on my phone screen
