-17? Why so cold? If there's bad reviews I'd like to hear them before I arrange a sitting please :|
#2
have registered. will wait for their call and make sure that nothing is charged for the session and the photograph.
#3
I think you are getting the cold votes because everyone knows that you have to have extremely strong willpower not to fall in love with and spend a fortune on their very expensive but gorgeous photos! The free one is tiny and believe me (we have had a sitting) all the shots are excellent and they give quite a hard sell!

Stay away Venture are a complete rip off
#5
i hate it when people vote it cold and don't say why. it doesn't help

I agree with the above comments. The photos are brilliant. but...

"6. Each family will receive a free framed image from their session - this will be 10” x 8” and is worth £165"

This gives you an idea of how much you have to pay for each photo. When we had them done you couldn't order without frames and the cheapest/ smallest photo was about £100. They didn't even give us the price list until the very last minute after we had chosen the pictures. A friend of ours had a collage type one done with about 7 pictures in and it cost her over a £1000.

Haven't voted hot or cold, but be warned, it isn't such an amazing deal if you then spend a fortune because its hard to choose just one. However, if you are prepared to either dig your heals in and only have the free one, or prepared to spend alot of money (easy to do with very young children) then the pictures are amazing.

Hope this information helps.

I agree, these types of shoots often tell you the sitting is free to get you interested and then pull on your heartstrings to get vast amounts of money out of you. Personally I don't like the photos with sterile white backgrounds, I much prefer on location shoots where you can choose a place to have the photos which means more to you.

All you have to do is a quick google search for "photographer in ......" and there will be plenty of good photographers who offer shoots where you receive ALL the photos on a disc for about £100, then you can print as many as you like.

Try this in Doncaster South Yorks. Fantastic......

Thanks for posting but yeah i fell for this too, when we went back to look at the photos which to be fair where pretty good it came to nearly £2000, and the cheapest photo was a measily 7" by 5" and that was £60.

Again, thanks for posting but cold from me im afraid, these places rip people off.

At the cost for a good selection of studio photos at venture is over £1000 my mate used them when he got married to me they looked like, over processed tripe. you'd be better off getting an independent photographer we used a local East London press photographer £100 all in laid back knew his stuff and no hard sell and the photos looked like us. If you've got deep pockets go ahead try venture they treat you like a celebs, only you'll be expected to cough up at the end.

This is a scam to get you in the door and pressure you into spending a fortune. My husband and I did it and barely made it out the door with our wallets intact. They really don't want you to leave without buying anything. Beware!

Same experience here, they even offered us a loan to buy photos! Madness.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm notoriously tight when it comes to parting with my cash and I know that I would never spend that much on photos, so I know that there's no way on earth that they'd pressure me into buying anything. Just thought it would be nice to have a decent pic with my daughter, even if it is a small one.

rip off company, unless you have deep pockets don't go.
#15
Venture are known for their very hard-sell tactics.

A friend of mine spent over £2k for a few very large prints.

Cold from me.

the hard sell is really bad. made the mistake of giving them my phone number. we have had the pics done in the past , they are incredible, however, we payed 2,500 for our pictures. thay are wonderful, to treasure for ever, but pricey

easy, have the photo taken at venture, then get it enlarged somewhere cheaper. click do great enlargements for about £8

i've registered. thanks. i want to know how much it is for a memory pen with your photos on (though it says you can't print them-i'm sure 'print screen' will work) prices are crazy but it isn't every day you get something that should be £200 for free!
