Get a taste of university life or develop essential skills for study or employment with a summer course, at the Darlington College at the Haughton Road and Catterick sites, and the University of Teesside. These free courses run during July and August.

Our Summer University short courses provide university-level study in a range of exciting, interesting and useful subjects. Many of these courses have been designed for people who want to return to study after a break from education.

A summer course will boost your confidence and help you develop the skills you need for a course at the University.

Summer University courses carry recognised university credits. Unless otherwise stated, when you have accumulated 20 credits, you will be awarded a University Certificate in Continuing Education. You may also be able to use credits towards another university qualification.

The majority of courses have no formal entry requirements.

Free education is better no?
This can count toward a certificate.

cheers! sometimes you wonder why you bother. I thought it was a really good deal, granted its location relevant - a least i tried
