Hold on...

Shouldn't there be a voucher with this?

Book your free eye test online via this Optical Express link*. You'll then be emailed a voucher to take with you on the day.

The Detail: One voucher per transaction. Appointments are subject to availability. There's no obligation to buy glasses after the test. Online bookings only. Also valid in NI.

I saw no voucher at all during submitting my details!

Okay. Seems there is a voucher right at the very end. Not exactly clear (maybe I need glasses?).

Does anyone know of any other opticians that do free eye tests in Wimbledon as Optical Express is too far away

Tesco do. Use the store locator (select opticians from the drop down list): http://www.tesco.com/storelocator/

Just had a call from them after booking, you need to bring along the email that was sent as it as a unique code per person :O

Edit: Just seen this, maybe this is what they meant

Has anyone tried this? Will they accept the print or need the email as well? I don't want to be having my eye test and then paying for it, when I can get it Free with Tesco anyway!

What's so confusing? You book your appointment, you turn up with printed voucher in hand, they scan the barcode - job's a good'un!

Have you done this? They said to me they want the email not just the voucher

Well print your email off as well then!

That's the problem, don't have an email

The only Email I received from them was in relation to my callback request. Nothing whatsoever about the voucher.

I am 99.9% certain you don't need to bring this along as, like I've said, the voucher has the necessary barcode on it for them to scan come the appointment. If you are worried, call them?

|This on the outset seems like a great deal but do not be tempted to buy glasses from them. They always try and up-sell on everything and even stuff that you do not need. I am a Dispensing Optician and went into my local branch (Trafford Cent) acting all dumb and pretending to not know a thing about glasses apart from how they sat on my face. Every eye test conducted in the UK is a loss leader so by giving them away free they will hope you will buy glasses and try and pressure you as much as possible. My advice would be to try Tesco if it is near enough. If you have to use Optical Express, ask for a copy of your prescription, which the optometrist is legally bound to give you a copy of and take it elswhere.
