We have 2,500 pairs of FREE tickets, to see two of the best Rugby League teams currently in the country, to give away to Standard readers this week.

Castleford Tigers have made their best start ever to a Super League season, living up to their nickname "Classy Cas" with some wonderful displays of fast, open rugby. The half back partnership of mercurial stand off Rangi Chase has and former Quins favourite Danny Orr is proving crucial.

For Harlequins - London's only Super League Club - hooker Andy Ellis is a constant threat at dummy half while stand off Luke Gale has been a revelation, combining a fine kicking game with a knack of scoring. Coach Rob Powell will be looking for a big performance from his players in front of their home fans after their last disappointing outing at The Stoop.

Whether you are a Quins fan, or just fancy experiencing live rugby league for the first time, the game will be a great way to start the weekend.

The Great Game belongs in the North anyway!

Hot deal from me.

If these were offered for any of the nothern teams there would be a stampede for them. Shame the southerners can't appreciate the toughest sport in the world!

By 'world' you mean the north of England, a bit of New Zealand and Australia. :D

Rugby league - a sport for people too stupid or too bad to play rugby union.

If I was a RL player I would regard your comments as very offensive and derogatory and I bet 1000% that you wouldn't be saying that to a RL players face. So are you actually saying that every RL player is stupid? Disgraceful comment in my opinion

I've played semi-pro Rugby Union and player some RL and I can tell you RL is the toughest sport in the world - FACT! Proven by many not just my thoughts

Yes I do mean the world and actually RL is played very well by a number of other countries South Africa, Italy, Russia, Tonga, Papa New Guinea and many many more hence why there is a World Cup! Which even also includes an Irish, Scottish and Welsh national team

Rugby league can't even get a decent FOURTH team for their 'four team' tournament.

Yes it's tough, because it's basically running straight into another couple of guys on every possession. There's no variation or tactics. If a player does show himself to be talented, like Sonny Bill or Jason Robinson, then they can play the real version of rugby.

The one with a proper world cup with more than three decent teams involved.

What a joy it was watching rugby league convert Sonny Bill Williams destroy England and Scotland with his offloading skills in the tackle, something never seen in rugby union before, usually in union the players just fall to the floor even in the weakest of tackles then, a huge mothers meeting occurs and eventually the ball turns up again about 10 mins later.

Then we have the awesome skill of booting the ball into row Z in every other play, that must take years of practice to find the exact row.

"Rugby league a simple game played by modest people"
"Rugby Union a complex game played by w*nkers"

Laurie Daley

"My first game back in union i was freezing"
"I was never cold playing rugby league"

Jonathan Davies on his return to Rugby Union.

With all that you'd have thought more people would want to watch or play league then. X)

As for Sonny Bill, he was destroying players in the NRL before going to the Top 14 - the guy is just a genetic freak and an incredible athlete.

It was only a matter of time before a player as talented would recognise that he deserved the recognition that playing rugby union would bring, like Jason Robinson before him.

When will a person find out if their application is successful? Will they get an e-mail if they are successful and unsuccessful?

It appears they just post tickets out, mine dropped through the door this morning.

[edit] Now they have emailed me as well, so check your inbox (and junk/spam folder maybe)
