THE ALDERSHOT Army show is to return in 2011 in a 'slimmed-down' format.http://www.armyshow.co.uk/menu.html
The show, which was cancelled in 2010 due to funding problems with the army, will take place on one day only on July 2, but entry will be free.
Highlights will includes the army's parachute and fast motorcycle display teams, but more expensive attractions, such as big-screen TVs and mounted cavalry, will not be appearing this year.
Organisers said that while previous shows had cost members of the public up to £8 each to attend, this year's event would be completely free.
Costs will be met by sponsorship deals and from existing army recruitment budgets.
