I'll definately try to get tickets to this. This is a rendition of the 1910 last night of the proms and is not, in fact, a chance to go to the last night of the proms. You need to pay to see 5 other proms to even enter a ballot for that or try to win one of 200 other tickets.
I have been pooh-poohing everyone today! As stephen Fry once said "The pooh-poohing alone is a court martial offense!". I should stop to let other people point things out. Great find none-the-less. Have some heat.

Thanks for the post!

However you may wish to change the title to "1910" instead of "2010" - otherwise people may think the Last Night itself is free!

The £5 tickets are available for any of the Proms concerts... they hold a certain number at the box office for every performance, for sale in the afternoon on the day of the concerts. These are either the standing tickets in the arena section (right on the ground floor), or the standing tickets right at the top of the RAH.

For Placido, I reckon there'll probably be a massively long queue!!

Does anyone know the date of the prom 1910, as there is no mention of this on the royal albert hall website. All it states is the end time 6pm, but I a date too, to plan ahead!

Thanks in advance for any help given!

Prom 67 is on Sunday, 5th September 2010, 2:30pm (it finishes about 6pm).

The correct ROH website link is here then click 8 to go to the appropriate page.

See you there! :)

Hi and thanks, but unfortunately I didn't get any tickets due to BT deliberately keep breaking up my internet connection ( BT’s incompetence) , which meant I had to go back in the queue several times – I got nowhere. My mobile phones internet was too slow, and I also rang Albert Hall only to wait in a long queue to be told that there are no tickets left.
I won’t bother with this booking thing at Royal Albert Hall again – also, BT always let’s me down, I’ve wasted time and money on them for nothing!

I am very sorry to hear that, Avitar. But why not consider coming along to one of the other 75 Prom concerts? OK, they are not free but you would be hard pressed to find such world class performers giving such excellent renditions anywhere else in the world and at a cost of £5 per person, per Prom! (Even cheaper if you buy a Season ticket).

The BBC's attitude to disabled people absolutely stinks [little change there then] but the staff and management at the Royal Albert Hall (a 139 year old venue!) bend over backwards to make me - and everyone who visits - feel welcome.

Go on, check out HERE if there is anything else that tickles your fancy and treat yourself. There's no need to book. Just turn up on the night and splash out a whole fiver! Soak up the atmosphere, you'll love it! You know you're worth it!
