think HSBC offer similar option to its on-line personal customers, although I believe it is a McAfree product.

It's a 3-machine license as well

if anyone would like to be kind enough to pm me a key code as I am not a barclays customer that would be great. I promise not to share the key with anyone. Last years one is almost up thanks to the member who gave me it then.

Wow, excellent - just emailed the link to my OH who banks with them, I spent the whole day yesterday researching free anti-virus/anti-spyware/firewall for my new lappy and put them on last night!

Any one want to share codes??

Smile.co.uk (part of the Co Op) does a deal on KIS2009 too. £14.99 for 1 user, 1 year and £18.99 for 3 users, 1 year. Not free as Barclays but still a good deal compared to RRP price.

Is it any Barclays account - or does it have to be an online account?

I have a Barclays current account - can I get it with that?

Why worry about this when AVG offer a free version for home users. Seems pretty good to me. And free "forever" - I have used it for 4 years and am very impressed with it. AVG only charge business users.

put a proper AV on your PC and be amazed at how many viruses AVG has missed over the years!

Its rubbish now.

Really? Seems pretty good and still gets very good ratings in reviews. Has kept me "safe" for several years now. Look at: http://www.pcpro.co.uk/reviews/191715/

Seems that some people think if something is free then it cannot be as good as a paid for product. The organisation where I work also has the paid for version - and considers it more than good enough. Why spend money when a reputable company like AVG offers home users a free version of their otherwise expensive anti-virus software.

If I was going to use free AV it would be Avast or Avira. AVG is not as good as it was.

lots of people on hukd reporting viruses when they put on something other than their previous AV (AVG).

Mine had two viruses that AVG missed for a year!
