Anti-Twin is a small software application which compares files, i.e. it searches for duplicate or similar files on your hard disk drive. All similar or identical files that were found can either be sent to the recycle bin or directly deleted. This will increase the hard disk space on your computer.
Select the option “Compare file content” to compare the entire binary content of the files. This means that the file names are irrelevant. Here, the basic principle is: “Name is but sound and smoke - size matters! And never lose sight of the inner values.”
Anti-Twin is an excellent application to e.g. find and delete duplicate MP3 files in a download folder or to find similar images. Apart from that, Anti-Twin helps you clean up employees' chaotic file repositories in company networks, e.g. by searching for unnecessary file copies and redundant data back-ups.

I don't see why it could possibly bother you. It's not as if they are posted very often, and the freebie section is rather dead a lot of the time anyway, so it's hardly flooding it.

And for some reason wants to later add ebay.de to your desktop also.
So Select the 2nd install option on the 1st startup screen
- and untick everything

Gizmo Freeware is the best that I have come across.
I actually think you are right. I could post a tonne of freeware, most of which won't be any good for ur pc. Take this for example, while the OP might have posted it in good faith, only someone with some knowledge should use a program like this. And these people would know of sites such as Gizmo Freeware.
I voted hot because it's a good deal but so is Avast Free AV, MSE etc....

There are many of these type of Duplicate File finders.
They can save you a lot of space with modern media files.
BUT be careful, if it is not something that you recognise, leave it alone.
I have had to fix too many computers after the luser has deleted something they did not recognise, only to find out it was needed.
i guess yes why not? Just select the relevant folders to scan..
