Cant be sure if others will see this or be offered it but I've just been offered Amazon Prime on a One Month free trial which of course I jumped at considering the time of year it is.

I took advantage of this a few years back when it was launched so was surprised to see it being offered again.

If you wanna do a test purchase to see if you are offered the free trial you can as it came up when I got to the payment page but before I completed the purchase.

Hope others get it also as I'm sure so many of us buy at Amazon in the run up to Xmas.

Ok, just gave my cookies a wipe, they are a bit soggy now, but still edible, however, amazon still remembers

BUT just remember to cancel it b4 the trail else you will have an heafty monthly bill at the end of it. i have not done it but know someone who did.

I signed up for this about 2 weeks ago

If you go into 'My account' and go to 'Prime' settings or something you set it straightaway so that it doesn't automaticatically upgrade to full membership if you forget. :)

No you won't, it's billed yearly. It's not "heafty" (you mean hefty, right?) either it's £49 a year for free next day delivery on all Amazon and 'fulfilled by Amazon' purchases (usually around £8.99 per order), you can share that with up to 5 other accounts too.

Used this last year - hopeless. Unless amozon have changed they use city link in kent and they were an absolute nightmare, never delivered but left a card, even when we were in, had to travel miles to pick anything up.

I used the trial at the start of the year and for some reason it's offering it to me again, so does anyone know if you can use this more than once?

This is my second time, if it's offering you another trial then you are eligible

Tried Prime for a one off purchase.. then forgot I had..oops.. Bit of a sting at the end of the month, but as it turns out, at this time of year, it's actually worked out really well...

Amazon always have keen pricing, but the P&P can bump it up a bit.. but it's almost paid for itself for ordering presents (of which a fair few have been deals from here.. does that make me tight or frugal?) :)

I'd encourage anyone to try it out over the festive period.. but remember to cancel when you need to!

I have heard many stories of people forgetting to cancel (before they gave the option to cancel it automatically) and Amazon always refunded without problems as long as the Prime hadn't been used since being charged :)

Cannot understand why it's cold. It's a useful feature and I have signed up for mine a while back.

did it last year but it remembered this year , have to say it was excellent, delivered next day to north of scotland ( some companied cannot manage that and still charge you £8-10!!!)
well worth at this time of year,i dont spend quite enough to justify it for a year to myself as a one off cost, although just thinking its only £4 a month so may reconsider!!!!

Did my trial already 2 years ago and it let me sign up again the other day!

Thought it was brilliant last time. Did all my last minute Christmas shopping on there. Managed to order some stuff on December 23rd and get it delivered Christmas eve in time for Christmas for free!

I originally did this a couple of years back and forgot to cancel my trial by one day. Was very annoyed at the time, but it turned out to be brilliant. I didn't renew, but within a month realised how much I missed it and paid for another year's worth.

£50 a year to get an unlimited amount of stuff the next day is something not to be turned down. No idea why a free month is so cold!

You can get the 30 day FREE trial for amazon prime every 13 months, this is to stop people using it for xmas every year!
Is there a Free Trial available?

If you haven't been an Amazon Prime member in the last 13 months, you can sign up for a free trial. Visit the Amazon Prime Free Trial membership page to start a free trial now, or look for free trial offers when you check out and on product pages. You'll need a current, valid credit card. While you won't be charged at sign-up, having your credit card on file will allow us to upgrade your membership automatically to a paid membership plan.

BUT...................

If your not eligible, someone else in your house can sign up for it.
They can share the prime delivery with your home address as the delivery location only with up to 4 other members of that address.

Share one membership with up to four additional accounts in the same household and get even more value.

I got it last year, and shared it with my wife, this year she has signed up for it, and shared it with me. and so on!
As i am a postie it's well handy, get my sepcial deliverys fisrt thing next morning!
Be aware though, sometimes they do use a courier, have had stuff sent via HDN, it seems a lottery what comapny they choose to use!
Over all, VERY impressed with it!

Just stopped my account from activating the charge, worked nicely for me. :D

Not sure where this 13 month rule comes from? I signed up for Amazon Prime when it was first released in the UK and got the free trial; I have never been eligible again :-( My son just had a new free trial offer and he had one free last year too, so it appears to be a very random offer.
