Bit sexist isn't it? I suppose men don't have curves. :whistling:
I was feeling like I needed to kick start my exercise again and was scoping all the different alternatives when I went in to a local Curves to basically get more information about what they do and how different they were from normal gyms. They told me to bring my stuff so I could try it out.
Well instead of just being able to exercise, they spent most of the time trying to sell the membership and even got a little irritated when I said I wasnt ready to committ as I was also considering the other options in the area. The lady's personality changed completely and she was rather abrupt after that. I was allowed to try the equipment, it was so simplified that you can't adjust anything and they had about 8 machines and sometihng called a recovey pad which is basically a flat pad where you step around. I have since decided to go to a normal gym more people my age there as well. The average age of the women in there were 40 to 60 which is not a bad thing but it didnt suit me.
I joined curves last year but only went for about a month as they didnt open lunchtime or sundays or early morning which is when most people can go when they work . I did lose a few pounds but I just stick to slimming world now
