Been looking around for a card to get round the Ryanair charge fee now that my entropay electron is no use and this seem like the best one I can find.

No app fee, no usage fees for online and no loading costs - only charge is for foreign transactions not in GBP.

It's also virtual like entropay was so no waiting for a card to be delivered etc.

It has quite a nifty little feature to protect your balance as well whereby it generates a new card number for every transaction, each number can only ever be used once so no way of being billed extra by a merchant or having some fraudeulently use your card.

Seems like a pretty good choice to me - hope it will save a few folk their £5 card fees!

Does not work with Ryanair yet at the moment since it does not recognize the generated number as a valid Mastercard. Just order the plastic card. Its also free and does the job

Looks interesting. Anybody used them without trouble? Quick search on google gave mixed results about that company.

Is this like the Cahoot WebCard - loved that software, and have been looking for a replacement too. This is like a virtual credit card?

it works fine on ryanair. It cost me 37p to load up £20 worth of credit and it was a flat charge of £1.50 to book the flight

These have been used in the past for verifying paypal accounts :whistling:

Anyone know if that still works?

i would give it a miss.
tried it once, too much hassle and very poor customer service.
the worst i have ever encountered.
works for some, doesnt work for some.
def did not work for me.
i would not recommend.
and its not exactly free, they take 10% of any amount you deposit.
how ever, i got all my money(including the 10%) back

Somehow this does look suspicious.

1) They do not mention any charges for topping up, yet a user above says there is a charge.

2) According to the small print, the full responsibility for fraud is with the user.

3) There is a cancellation fee! So it follows that the card is not free - you will have to pay 10 pounds eventually.

There are also a number of contradictions in the small print, where suddenly additional charges are mentioned. On the whole it looks more like day light robbery than a trustworthy payment option. It seems they also reserve the right to "NEGLIGENCE, WILFUL MISCONDUCT, TORT". Way to go!

neteller is one of the worst companies i have ever encountered online...
poor service and almost non existent customer support are not fun when theres money involved.
they make paypal look good!

I got the plastic version of this and the one from FairFX. I can vouch for the Fairfx one as it works with Rynair and the only real charges are 1.5% transaction fee. No loading fee & free ATM withdrawal. Can top it up at any Barclays bank or online & customer service good too. Oh and £7.50 quidco for ordering one! Great foreign exchange rates too.

Went with fairfx instead. here is the link to the deal http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/575145/beat-ryanair-cc-charges-free-fairfx topcashback or quidco of £7.50 and the card is free though you do need to put £10 on the card.

cold fairfx seems a better deal

I've just got FairFx delivered last week. I chose it because it was recommended as the best option on www.moneysavingexpert.com
