Free WiFi has arrived on London Underground for all Virgin Customers (FREE FOR ALL)

Undergroundbreaking news – free Virgin Media WiFi is now available for everyone all summer on London Underground. So you can keep up with your life online, in stations and on platforms, for free.
It’s easy to hop on. Just activate your device and you’ll automatically pick up the signal whenever you come out of a tunnel and enter a WiFi enabled station. Then, after summer, Virgin Media customers like you, and people on selected networks, get full internet access for free, as well as on a Pay As You Go basis.
How to get onboard
Look out for the WiFi logo in the ticket hall of participating stations
Turn on WiFi in your phone or tablet’s settings
Open a browser and register
Hey presto, your WiFi is now ready to depart
We’re aiming to have Free WiFi in 80 London Underground stations by the end of July

??? Just started recently when Olympics started.
In regards to paying, it is currently free for everyone and after the olympics will remain free for Virgin customers while others would have to pay a certain amount(Yet to be announced).
Your speeds vary in between journeys(from what tech journalists have reported) but at the stations the speeds are quiet fast when by the bottom of the stairs.
No it won't. Virgin have said that VirginMedia customers will be able to pay to add access to the tube WiFi to their existing bundle.

annoyingly they re-direct your first web request to their holding page every time you connect at each station. Makes refreshing train times a ball ache, especially when you only get 30 secs of connectivity.
